This supplement applies to data processed through Ella chat features, topic flows, check-ins, and related insights. General website and app privacy terms remain in Umbrella Journal Privacy Policy.
We use contracted service providers (for hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and support) that process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal information for money.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of business transfers, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Ella conversations can include mental health-related information that may be considered sensitive under some laws. We process this information to provide requested features and support operations, subject to applicable law.
We retain Ella data only as long as needed for service delivery, legal compliance, safety, and legitimate business needs. You can request account deletion or data-related requests through support.
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to processing. See the rights section in the Privacy Policy and submit requests at help@umbrellajournal.ca.
Ella data may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other locations where we or our service providers operate. We apply safeguards required by applicable law for cross-border transfers.
